Insight of Galileo

The state of rest and the state of uniform linear motion are equivalent

No external force is required to maintain motion, if there is no forces such as friction

Galileo’s Idea

Aristotle told that objects fall at a speed proportional to their weight and inversely proportional to the density of the fluid they are immersed in

Later it was updated by Galileo

First Law of Motion with examples

Every body continues to be in its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled by some external force to act otherwise

Satellites moves in space, passengers fall forward direction when a bus suddenly stops,an athlete often runs before taking a long jump, etc are the example of Inertia

Dusting bed with a broom removes dust, fruits get detached when the branch is shaken etc are the examples of Inertia

When a car moves round a curve the person sitting inside is thrown outwards is the example of Inertia
